'Red Gold'...Copper and it's alloys, the first metal man discovered and fashioned into body adornments, masks and containers for personal, ceremonial and domestic use. Conveying status, wealth and power, copper was valued for it's durability, scarcity, malleability, for its colour, luminosity, or sound, or a combination of these qualities. In some societies, notably in many parts of Tropical Africa this "Red Gold" came to represent the supreme standard of Value, worthy of Kings and gods.
All of our sculpture and jewellery is made from re-used metal, mainly copper, other recycled, and found materials.
